The series electromagnet is energized by a coil known as current coil which is connected in series with the load so that it carry the load current.
The flux produced by this magnet is proportional to and in phase with the load current.
Energy stored by capacitor, Q = ½CV²
Dielectric constant is directly proportional to C and capacitance is proportional to the dielectrical constant
Properties of gas while selecting circuit breaker,
1. Dielectric strength.
2. Thermal conductivity.
3. Arc quenching.
4. Electrical properties.
5. Chemical properties. Toxicity of arc products.
